Adding OpenID Connect to Autotask

Stage 1

  1. Login to your Autotask account.
  2. Go to Admin > Features & Settings.
  3. Expand Resources/Users (HR) > Single Sign On (OpenID Connect (OIDC).

Stage 2

  1. Log into your Passly tenant as an admin. 
  2. Go to Auth ManagerAgent/Client.
  3. Hover over the Plus_sign.PNGsign in the bottom right corner. A new button appears on top.
  4. Click the same button with the ToolTip that says ‘Add New Agent.’ The Add New Agent page appears.
  5. Click to select the OpenID Connect.

  6. Enable the Agent checkbox.

  7. Give the agent a name.

  8. Copy the Callback/Redirect URL from Autotask, and paste it the Redirect URL (Origin) field in Passly.

  9. Leave the Require Consent during Sign in unchecked. Checking this box will prevent login for all users except for whom the Passly integration is set up.
  10. Click Add Agent.
  11. From the list of agents, select the agent you created.
  12. Click Show Key and copy the ID and Key from Passly into the respective fields in Autotask.

Do the following in Autotask:

  1. In the OpenID Connect Discovery Document field in Autotask, insert URL for your Passly instance (ex. https://{tenantname}.my.passly.com/.well-known/openid-configuration ) 
  2. Select the Enabled for selected resources using Identity Provider’s Name Identifier option.
  3. Click the Test button in Autotask. 

To disable Single Sign-On (OpenID Connect) in Autotask, do the following: 

  1. Go to MenuAdmin > Features & Settings
  2. Expand Resources/Users (HR) > Single Sign On (OpenID Connect (OIDC) 
  3. Choose the Disable.
  4. Click Save.
