Note: This integration does not support the use of Push. You will need to use the One-time Password (OTP).

Configuring Autotask to support MFA
Step 1 – Configure the AuthAnvil Server Settings
- Log into Autotask.
- Click the Autotask button.
- Select Admin > System Settings.
- You will need to use your On-Demand tenant. Your SAS URL will be your tenant URL/AuthAnvil/SAS.asmx
Note: You must update the SAS URL to use the full URL https://(Your Company).my.authanvil.com/AuthAnvil/SAS.asmx
Example: https://acme.my.authanvil.com/AuthAnvil/SAS.asmx - Enter your AuthAnvil Site ID into the AuthAnvil Site ID field.
This is always 1. - Click Save.
- Click OK on the dialog that pops up.
Step 2 - Assign members to use AuthAnvil for Two-Factor Authentication
- Log into Autotask.
- Click the Admin button.
- Open Employees/Resources.
- Browse to a resource that you would like to have use AuthAnvil authentication for Autotask login.
- Right-click on the resource, and choose Edit Resource.
- Click on the Security Tab
- Check the Require Two-Factor Authentication for this Resource checkbox.
- Select Option 1 – AuthAnvil.
Note: for User Name use your current 2FA username. - Configure the resource’s AuthAnvil username (this user must exist in AuthAnvil before you can successfully authenticate) and Authentication Server URL and Site ID (This is always 1)
- Click Save.
- Repeat steps 4 – 10 for every member who needs to use AuthAnvil authentication.
Step 3 – Log into Autotask using an AuthAnvil-protected user
- Log into Autotask using the regular method. After you enter your username and password and click login, you will be presented with the one time password prompt.
- Enter your 2FA OTP in the field.
- Click Authenticate Me >>.
